Jarvis Pudney Attorneys is a firm of lawyers comprising Guy Pudney and Kathy Jarvis. It is a niche commercial law practice which focuses on corporate and commercial law and, in particular, mergers and acquisitions. We have offices in both Johannesburg and Cape Town. The partners comprising Jarvis Pudney Attorneys collectively have over 30 years experience with the emphasis being predominantly corporate and commercial law experience. The two partners have all had large firm experiences and have also been partners in large law firms or various professional services firms. The partners all come from a multi-disciplinary background with Guy Pudney having been responsible for establishing the Deloitte legal footprint in South Africa and assisting Deloitte globally with the establishment of a legal practice.
Kathy Jarvis, Kathy has 15 years experience as a commercial attorney. Her focus in the practise is on structuring, negotiation and drafting of agreements to give effect to transactions.
Her memorable experiences include:
- The structuring and drafting of documentation to give effect to the “globalisation” of the consulting business of an accounting firm;
- The disposal of a significant shareholding in an international brewer to two international players;
- The consolidation of the South African operations of a listed construction company into a single operating entity.
